The current Wivenhoe dam release is hitting new heights - with the river at the Mt Crosby weir at 11.1m - getting close to the road level.
At Colleges Crossing the Brisbane River is at 8.81m.

Overlooking Brisbane River
Colleges by the River is an alfresco cafe located in the spectacular surrounds of the Colleges Crossing Recreation Reserve. The beautiful parkland stretches along a tidal stretch of the Brisbane River that marks the border between Brisbane and Ipswich. The park is now open following months of rebuilding after the disastrous floods of 2011. The cafe reopened on the 17th January 2013.
